A brand new Earthworm Jim game is heading to…Intellivision Amico? Yep, it’s 2020 and things are only getting stranger.
During a recent special event for their upcoming Amico home video game console, Intellivision revealed a number of exclusive games, including Earthworm Jim 4.
“The original team that brought Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 to the world has reunited over 25 years later to bring a brand new Earthworm Jim experience to the masses! Using the unique Amico controller design and unique multiplayer capabilities, the new Earthworm Jim 4 game will only be available on Intellivision Amico.”
The Amico, which is geared toward family-friendly multiplayer entertainment, is now scheduled to launch on April 15, 2021 for $249, and will include two controllers complete with touch screens and motion controls. Other games will include the racing game Mattel Hot Wheels, as well as “revamps” of Moon Patrol, Missile Command, and Breakout.
Update 2023: Unfortunately, there has been little news regarding Earthworm Jim 4 since the release of this trailer, leading many to believe that it may not ever see the light of day. Not groovy!
