I know you’re both a huge Friday the 13th and Grand Theft Auto fan, so check this out: Sudden Strike Productions presents Friday The 13th: ReAwakening, a short film made entirely in Grand Theft Auto V.
“When a group of out-of-towners purchase Camp Crystal Lake, it awakens Jason Voorhees from his watery grave. Hell bent on rage, Jason stalks and torments the new owners. KI KI KI MA MA MA!”
The film clocks in at about an hour long with a cast of fully voiced characters, and it legitimately feels like a Friday the 13th film, right down to some fairly brutal death scenes
According to Sudden Strike Productions, ReAwakening’s story is “set within an alternate timeline” in the series. “Parts 1-4 are still canon,” they writes, “but anything after that has been retconned from the main series.” They say this leaves the door open for a prequel or even more sequels.
They still managed to slip in Alice Cooper’s He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask), though. Don’t tell anyone.
