Hasbro will launch a new line of Ghostbusters action figures ahead of the upcoming release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Toyark reports.
The figures will launch in two sets: A $20-range “Plasma” series, which may be more of a collectors’ line; and the cheaper $10-range “Fright” series, likely your more typical 6″ action figures. For now, all we have are a bunch of code names, such as Plasma Clementine, Zucchini, and, uh, Spinach.
An Ecto 1 playset and a proton pack also appear in the listing.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife will release July 10, 2020. Vanity Fair recently interviewed Bill Murray on set, and squeezed out just a bit of new info.
Much of the original cast — including Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver — returned and shot their parts “over the span of a week.” While they’re said to have “meaningful roles” in the new film, it looks like the main focus will be on the new cast introduced in the trailer.
