A video making the rounds recently shows a Jason Voorhees statue “planted in one of Minnesota’s popular dive sites.”
That’s right! You, too, can dive into the watery depths of Crosby, Minnesota and check out the decomposing remains of a Jason statue, chained to the lake floor.
It’s apparently been there since 2013 (or was it 2014?), and nowadays looks a little worse for wear. Which fits, given that we’re talking about one Mr. Voorhees. He’s, what? — the machete-wielding zombie murderer of Crystal Lake, after all.
The video here clocks in at a staggering 22 seconds, just enough time to unnerve everyone with its slow, shadowy zoom-in of a barely lit Jason, before cutting to a close up of the mask-wearing villain of the Friday the 13th series. Special guest appearance by Scuba Man.
