The Witcher has done well for Netflix, and you know what that means: It’s time for an anime adaptation!
Deadline reported this week that Netflix has greenlit an anime feature film titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which will presumably involve a side quest side story:
“The world of The Witcher expands in this anime film that explores a powerful new threat facing The Continent. The project is from The Witcher series producers Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Beau DeMayo, along with the Korean animation studio Studio Mir animation studio whose credits include Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender.”
According to Netflix, The Witcher quickly became one of the platform’s most popular shows last year, and has already been renewed for a second season. If you want to check out my review, it’s sitting over there in the corner.
Speaking of The Witcher, the games are currently on sale over at Gog and Steam, as part of both platforms’ Lunar Sales.
