New Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay Shows Off the Great Sword

The official Monster Hunter YouTube channel shows off new gameplay footage of their upcoming Nintendo Switch title, Monster Hunter Rise.

“Set in the ninja-inspired land of Kamura Village, explore lush ecosystems and battle fearsome monsters to become the ultimate hunter. It’s been half a century since the last calamity struck, but a terrifying new monster has reared its head and threatens to plunge the land into chaos once again.”

The video shows off Monster Hunter Rise’s new dog companions, the Palamutes, which not only join the fight but also allow hunters to mount up and cover distances quickly. Also featured are the Shrine Ruins, and a throwdown against the monster wyvern Aknosom.

Check out the official Monster Hunter Twitter account for more gameplay footage and info.

Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch will release March 26, 2021.
