Word on the street (well, The Hollywood Reporter) is that Netflix and Skydance are collaborating to produce a brand new animated series based on The Terminator.
The series will be produced alongside Japan’s Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell), who have been working with Netflix since 2018.
Mattson Tomlin, co-writer of The Batman (and apparently an upcoming Mega Man film) will reportedly act as showrunner and executive producer. “I’m honored that Netflix and Skydance have given me the opportunity to approach Terminator in a way that breaks conventions, subverts expectations and has real guts,” he said of his work on the series.
Unfortunately, they haven’t revealed any other details related to the plot or characters.
