Japanese blogger Ryokutya2089 has some news on the harbingers of the apocalypse front (quoting a Famitsu interview with Sonic producer Takashi Lizuka and art director Kazuyuki Hoshino): SEGA is looking to turn Sonic the Hedgehog into a vTuber.
That’s Virtual YouTuber for those who perhaps aren’t yet familiar with the aesthetic stylings of, say, Kizuna AI.
Roughly quoting Hoshino:
“Sonic is being made into a vTuber…I’ve never communicated with Sonic in real time before, so I’m going to be happy.”
SEGA is also apparently looking to create a theme park based on their properties.
