The Heroes Are Villains In Amazon’s The Boys (2019)

Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys takes us on a cynical ride through the sordid “reality” of super heroes. Because what do you think would happen if super-powered humans actually existed? Sunshine and rainbows?

Not likely.

Check out the final trailer above, and despair.

The Boys is available to watch right now with Amazon Prime, and stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Elisabeth Shue, Erin Moriarty, and Dominique McElligott.

I’ve already watched episode one, and it seems pretty good. It’s gory and real, that’s for sure, and I think it might just fill that terrible, empty void left inside me by the cancellation of The Tick. Oh, and Amazon’s already renewed it for a second season, so that’s a good sign.
