I don’t know what the situation is between this Kickstarter project and Nintendo (I’m sure we’ll find out), but the above trailer for Metroid Cinematica Recharged features a wicked fan-made animation of Samus vs. Kraid, along with some slow-mo arm cannon action.
The project has raised $87,703 from 883 backers at the time of writing, well over Samo Studios’ original $10,000 goal. 12 days remain. From the description:
“Metroid Cinematica Recharged is an officially licensed symphonic/electronic hybrid album with nearly two hours of music from the Metroid series, re-imagined as something in between a game soundtrack and an epic film score. After Metroid Cinematica was originally released in 2014, the album has received a wonderful reception, and due to popular demand, the time has come to take things to the next level with reworked audio, new CD album set, and an exciting new VINYL edition!”
A pledge of $10 gets you digital versions of both Metroid Cinematica Recharged and DREADful Symphony, while a pledge of $80 or more nets you a vinyl version of Metroid Cinematica Recharged.
