Check out the new trailer for Spike’s upcoming television adaptation of The Mist — an honest-to-goodness TV drama, not a miniseries.
I’ve always thought 2007’s The Mist, based on Stephen King’s novella of the same name, was a pretty decent movie. It wasn’t Shawshank Redemption or The Green Mile, but it hit me a lot better than, say, Dreamcatcher or The Langoliers (which I still like in some bizarre way).
A series based on the premise could actually work. After all, when the titular mist rolled in, more people were affected than just those in the supermarket. A lot of good stories could come out of that.
But will they?
The Mist premieres on Spike on June 22, 2017.
