Discover the origin of evil.
Here’s the official trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. The film looks surprisingly faithful to the original games, right down to the 90s-era graphics.
Well, the mansion looks about right, anyway.
“In RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”
I laughed when the cinematic remix of What’s Up started playing, but I honestly kind of dig the goofiness. I’m sensing some proper B-movie shenanigans with this one.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will arrive in theaters on November 24, 2021. Written and directed by Johannes Roberts, it stars Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Donal Logue, and Neal McDonough.
