Between Mortal Kombat and the Injustice series, the team over at NetherRealm Studios likes to mix things up. They added the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Injustice 2, and freakin’ RoboCop to Mortal Kombat 11.
Now, Ed Boon is tossing around the idea of a “monster fighting game” on Twitter.
Do you think there are enough well known giant monsters (Godzilla, Kong, etc) to make a Monster Fighting Game?

“Do you think there are enough well known giant monsters…to make a Monster Fighting Game?” he asks. 22.9% say no. What? Huh?
Kaijuu Daikessen. Save the Earth. Unleased. Destroy All Monsters Melee. I think the world’s ready for another kaiju fighting game, and there are more than enough strange beasts and giant robots to fill out the roster. Just the Godzilla franchise alone has you covered. But do you mean…you want more?
What would a Netherrealms monster fighter look like, anyway? That is the question. If things get really crazy, maybe we could see a Zord face off against Rodan or something.
