Wayforward and developer 13AM Games have announced a new kaiju brawler called Dawn of the Monsters, set to release in early 2022.
“Take control of four awe-inspiring playable behemoths in order to take on the evil Nephilim—a horde of creatures that are hellbent on destroying the planet. Liberate four major metropolitan areas, from Toronto to Tokyo, in this epic action game.”
According to IGN, the game will feature art and character designs by Shinji Nishikawa (who worked on the designs of the Heisei and Milennium Godzilla flicks) and comic book artist Matt Frank (known for his work on IDW’s Godzilla comics).
The names of the kaiju have also been revealed: Megadon, Ganira, Aegis Prime, and Tempest Galahad. Each monster has its own unique abilities.
When it arrives, Dawn of the Monsters will be available on Playstation 4 & 5, Xbox Series/One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
