Toho has finally given us the first teaser trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero. Was the wait worth 48 seconds? Yes.
Set two years after the first, things look like they’re getting extra ominous in Zero. “A new threat approaches.” But what? I don’t know! Could it be…Monster Zero? The fan favorite seems to be Hedorah, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. What I do know is that Godzilla is going international.
“GODZILLA MINUS ZERO picks up in 1949, two years after the tumultuous events of Godzilla Minus One, and continues the story of the Shikishima family as they face an all-new calamity.”
At the moment I’m writing this, the trailer is a respectable #4 on YouTube’s movies Trending Chart. Godzilla Minus Zero will release on November 6, 2026, and is written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who is also once again supervising the film’s visual effects. It’ll also mark the first-ever Japanese production to be officially filmed for IMAX.
