[Trailer] Play As The King In Skull Island: Rise of Kong

GameMill Entertainment have announced a brand new action adventure game starring King Kong, Skull Island: Rise Of Kong. Check out the latest trailer above.

Developed by IguanaBee (G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout), Rise Of Kong promises a smashing third-person romp through the prehistoric jungles and wild terrain of Skull Island. Players will take on the mantle of an orphaned Kong as he seeks out the evil saurian Gaw, the menacing island monster who slayed his parents.

“Based on the rich history of Skull Island developed by creator Joe DeVito and based on Merian C. Cooper’s King Kong, this exhilarating third-person action-adventure game lets you become Kong on a journey of vengeance as you fight to claim your rightful place as King of Skull Island.”

Surprisingly absent (or not) is the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla. Kong last appeared in video game form alongside Godzilla back in 2022, as part of the Call Of Duty: Warzone Operation Monarch event, and before that in 2021 as a contender in Godzilla Battle Line.

However, it’s been years since Kong has starred in a game of his own. Whether or not Rise Of Kong can actually rise to the occasion and give us an experience worthy of King Kong is yet to be seen! But we’ll find out soon enough, when it releases later this year on Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
