It’s been a while since the release of Resident Evil Village, so you might think the hype is starting to wind down. Not if YouTube has anything to say about it — new videos show off the game in third person, giving us a whole new perspective to check things out!
Another video (which has long since vanished!) also attempted to discern the heights of the Dimitrescu Daughters, Heisenberg, Moreau, and even Mother Miranda. The verdict? Nearly everyone’s taller than 5’11 Ethan Winters. Or, at least, it would seem so.
Even the three Dimitrescu Daughters — Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela — apparently tower over Ethan at an estimated 6’4 each, at least in their heels. Ethan does appear to be standing awkwardly in this scene, but, you know, he’s having a bad day and being surrounded by giant vampire women. Understandable.
As for the others, we already know Lady Dimitrescu stands around 9’6 with a hat on. Both Heisenberg and Mother Miranda seem to be about 6’1. Moreau, despite his horrendous posture, stands equal to Ethan at 5’11.
It’s funny that the size of the characters in Resident Evil Village has become such a hot topic. But I don’t blame anyone. Giant people are a staple of good old SciFi, after all. I’ve also read that Capcom likes to make their enemies larger than the playable character to make them appear more imposing in general, so maybe there’s something to that.
