Bad news Kaiju fans: As reported by Deadline, the much-anticipated Godzilla Vs. Kong has been pushed back to May 21, 2021, on account of the world collapsing just fine on its own right now sans any actual rampaging gargantuas.
Also moved back are Wonder Woman 1984 (to October 2, 2020), The Matrix 4 (to April 1, 2022) and oh no, apparently Robert Zemeckis is remaking Roald Dahl’s The Witches, quite possibly the most terrifying story ever put to film. It now has a release date to-be-determined.
The only question is: Will we make it that far?
Update: Godzilla vs. Kong will now release in the U.S. on March 31, 2021 in theaters and on HBO Max.
