We also saw two new TV spots, giving us a few brief seconds of new fighting kaiju action. Pending any more unforeseen delays, the film is now set to release on March 26, 2021, both in theaters and via streaming on HBO Max. Word has it the film will also release early in France on March 17.
Looks like Kong isn’t having any of Godzilla’s atomic breath.
There’s also this little low-res vignette, a TV spot called “The World Needs Kong.” I sense merchandise.
To top things off, Legendary also revealed Godzilla vs. Kong’s movie poster, complete with an ominous “One Will Fall” tagline. Maybe one of them will trip and fall over. I mean, would they really kill off King Kong or Godzilla? Is that even possible?
Then again, director Adam Wingard has gone on record stating there will indeed be a “winner.” But that could mean anything. I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
