What happens after the giant kaiju meets its end? Does the world just kind of settle down afterwards, or do things only get more complicated? Upcoming Japanese monster flick Daikaijyu No Ato Shimatsu ponders these questions.
“A giant monster attacks Japan, but suddenly dies. It’s only a matter of time before a gas explosion occurs from within the monster’s carcass, which could cause the country to collapse. Tatewaki Arata is assigned to lead a special forces team in the critical area. Amane Yukino appears in front of Tatewaki Arata. She is secretary to the Environment Minister and also ex-fiancée of Tatewaki Arata.”
Daikaijyu No Ato Shimatsu (or 大怪獣のあとしまつ, roughly translated: Aftermath of the Great Monster) is directed by Satoshi Miki, and will release next year.
