The third trailer for Earth Defense Force 6 recently premiered at 2021’s Tokyo Games Show.
It’s a bit solemn — a father appears to be reading his daughter the story about how aliens invaded Earth, and she seems to wonder if they could ever get along. Not likely.
From the game’s original announcement over at the Playstation Blog:
“‘Earth Defense Force 6,’ which contains the highest sense of despair and excitement, will be a sequel following the ending of EDF 5, three years later…the Earth Defense Force (EDF) and humanity have certainly fought and won against fate. However, the future that awaits them was never one full of hope in the name of reconstruction…Can mankind once again overcome despair and resist fate?”
Earth Defense Force 6 has been delayed to 2022, but will release on Playstation 4 and 5 when it gets here. No word yet on the U.S. release date.
