What? Too weird? Come on, now. This is a real-life, honest-to-goodness parasitic nematode. Anisakis. That’s got to add at least +5 to any regular ballpoint pen. Twitter user tada2547 shared some photos if you’re still not convinced.

It’s like one of those old pens with the little characters inside. I think I had one with a car in it — you tipped it over and the car slid up and down. But with parasites, the fun never ends.
Well, until five days later, because apparently nematodes aren’t meant to survive inside pens. Who would have thought?
